I was brought to this site by George, the organizer of a book club on world betterment and personal development.

I think it's a good place for me because I am at a point in my life where I'm thinking about what I want to bring to the world so I'm in a transition phase in searching for my 'mission'.

I'm enormously interested in Community.  I feel like it's the piece of the puzzle that has been left out of modern existence.  We all know we need to work, that we might want some creative outlet, that we need money, a romantic partner, and perhaps a family but we don't often think of our other relationships, the ones that don't fall into those obvious categories. 

I think people are hungering for real, personal connections to other people who are not in their immediate family or a member of their work group.  I think that the lack of this connection to the group leaves us with a hole that we try to fill with sex, money or religion and we don't know why we feel empty when it would seem we have everything we need.

Anyway I make groups, mostly on meeup.  I have a film group and am thinking of starting a spiritual cinema thing, or something like that.
